SUMMARY:Generative Artificial Intelligence & Bias: What to Know & Discuss with Students (In-Person)
DESCRIPTION:The outputs of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) might seem objective\, but they are reflective of the datasets on which they are trained and their respective algorithms. Therefore\, they might contain information that is inaccurate\, biased\, or misleading. During this interactive session\, we will explore what is known about bias and GenAI and potential conversations that we can have with our students to support their literacy. \nThis session can count toward Competency 1 of the Classroom Inclusivity Series. \nThis session can also count toward Competency 3 of the Teaching & Generative AI Pathways. \nREGISTER \nNote: The Zimmerli Art Museum is located on the College Avenue Campus. See below for directions if needed.
