SUMMARY:CFS/TIIP: Teaching in the Current Moment: Academic Freedom in the Classroom
DESCRIPTION:This workshop provides an overview of Rutgers University’s policies and other resources related to academic freedom and explains the difference between academic freedom and free speech.  We provide guidance for instructors on how to apply this understanding to the classroom and how to effectively facilitate civil classroom dialogue and conversations about controversial topics. \nThis workshop is offered by Rutgers-NB Center for Faculty Success in cooperation with the Rutgers-NB Institute for Teaching\, Innovation\, & Inclusive Pedagogy. \nREGISTER.
