SUMMARY:Tea & Teaching with Jenevieve DeLosSantos
DESCRIPTION:A conversation with Andrés Mario Zervigón\, Professor in the Department of Art History for a discussion about ways to leverage student usage of generative AI to support their development as writers. Andrés will share with us some strategies he has employed in developing new writing assignments that incorporate generative AI both in the brainstorming and writing processes and across a variety of levels\, from a 400-level capstone experience to a 100-level introductory survey. \nTogether we will discuss his thinking about the potential of AI to help support academic writing skills and ways to discuss the ethics of these tools with students. We welcome all perspectives to join us for this event where we hope to explore the complexities of generative AI and writing through an informal and conversational exchange of ideas. \nREGISTER HERE
