DESCRIPTION:Learning Objectives   \n\nIdentify evidence-based teaching approaches based on research findings \n\n\nApply research findings to student-focused efforts at Rutgers University \n\n\nDevelop a preliminary action plan for implementation \n\nDescription:  \nFounded in May 2024 as part of the Academic Master Plan\, the Institute for Teaching\, Innovation\, and Inclusive Pedagogy (TIIP) is a hub for instructors that advances instruction fostering student learning and academic thriving at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. During this interactive Research Spotlight session\, the founding director\, Dr. Tracie Addy\, will share evidence-based approaches that support student success through effective teaching based on the institute’s recent studies and previous efforts. Participants will apply the findings to their own student-focused efforts to support the design of learning environments that foster a sense of belonging\, provide opportunities for high-impact learning\, and supporttimely graduation. This session will center us on what it means to teach and promote student success at the beginning of the academic year.    \nREGISTER
