SUMMARY:Launch Session: The Syllabus Resource Library (Online)
DESCRIPTION:To support your syllabus preparations for the upcoming semester\, we are excited to share a new resource with you\, the Syllabus Resource Library! Co-created with a cohort of thoughtful students who served as student pedagogical partner fellows at TIIP in Fall 2025\, this resource includes frameworks to design effective student-centered syllabi that can serve as learning tools for students. The resource includes not only traditional syllabi but also graphic and video-based forms and practical guidance for how and why those types of versions may also be used.   \nAt the launch session we will give an overview of the resource\, describe how it was co-created\, and highlight various syllabus types just in time for the spring semester. We will also announce a special competition\, The Syllabus Challenge\, to highlight and recognize instructors at Rutgers-New Brunswick who reimagine their syllabi using the Syllabus Resource Library resources.   \nREGISTER

SUMMARY:AI as Accessibility Improvement Tool
DESCRIPTION:How can we ensure your course images are accessible to all learners without spending hours writing descriptions? This interactive session dives into that question by showing how generative AI can serve as an assistant for creating high-quality alt-text. We’ll focus on a practical\, human-centered workflow: using AI to generate a first draft and then applying your expertise to refine it for accuracy and context. You’ll take part in hands-on activities\, using readily available AI tools to generate and evaluate alt-text in real time. Whether you’re new to digital accessibility or looking to streamline your workflow\, this session aims to provide practical skills and a fresh perspective on creating inclusive course materials. To get the most out of this session\, come with a course and images in mind (or on your device) that you’d like to make more accessible. \nREGISTER HERE
