SUMMARY:Teaching and GenAI Explorations: Chatbots
DESCRIPTION:*New Date/Time: Friday\, April 24th (9 – 10 am) \nWhat if classroom chatbots could help your students think more deeply\, not just answer questions faster? In this one-hour virtual session\, we’ll explore a range of educational chatbots\, including tools like BoodleBox and PlayLab\, and examine how they can support inquiry\, metacognition\, and active learning. You will try out several chatbot features\, compare their strengths and limitations\, and consider how to integrate them into class activities\, discussions\, and assignments. We’ll also highlight practical strategies for guiding students’ use of chatbots responsibly and transparently.  \nThis session fulfills Competency 1 of the Teaching and Generative AI Pathways Program.  \nREGISTER NOW.
