SUMMARY:A Guide to the Ethical Implications of Generative AI
DESCRIPTION:Brought to you by the Rutgers University Libraries: \nGenerative AI has moved faster than our collective understanding of its consequences\, from data privacy to environmental cost to how it shapes the way we think and learn. \nOur discussion will delve into the critical\, ethical\, and societal considerations of AI. We will examine how biases in training data can lead to discriminatory outcomes\, and you’ll learn about the significant environmental consequences of large-scale AI development. We’ll also discuss the potential impact on critical thinking skills in an age of increasing cognitive offloading.
