Research
Aligned with our core value of scholarship, TIIP team members actively conduct research on teaching and engage in other scholarly work. We also provide support for instructors who perform research on teaching.
We engage in these efforts in multiple ways:
- Individual scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) projects: we provide support to instructors interested in conducting research in their classrooms. We can provide guidance on study design and implementation. We can also support discipline-based education research (DBER) and general education research projects.
- Multi-instructor SoTL projects: we partner with several instructors on a specific scholarly project that aligns with TIIP’s core research areas.
- MegaSoTL studies: we conduct research that aligns with our core research areas with multiple institutions beyond Rutgers.
