How to Develop and Communicate Learning Objectives for a Class Session

October 10 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Are you interested in a career that involves teaching? This session is part of the Biomedical PostDoc Professional Development Days (PD3), and it also fulfills the Improving Your Classroom Skills certificate program for graduate students and postdocs. The session is open to all graduate students and postdocs across the New Brunswick/Piscataway community. The workshop will also explore effective strategies for communicating these learning objectives to students in ways that clarify expectations and enhance engagement. Transparent communication about learning goals helps students understand the purpose behind each class activity and fosters a more meaningful learning experience.

Bring a course syllabus or come with an idea for a course that you hope to teach, as the session will include interactive activities to apply these strategies in real time.

Lunch will be served. This session is part of the Biomedical PostDoc Professional Development Days (PD3), and it is open to all graduate students and postdocs across the New Brunswick/Piscataway community.
