New TA (Teaching Assistant) Orientation

The 2025 New Teaching Assistant Orientation welcomes all new TAs at Rutgers University—New Brunswick! In this in-person, live orientation, you will have an opportunity to meet your peers, participate in a Q&A session with a panel of experienced TAs, engage in discussions on relevant teaching topics in preparation for the upcoming academic year, and learn about ongoing professional development opportunities available to all TAs. This in-person orientation complements the virtual orientation modules available through Canvas (all new TAs will receive further information in early August about accessing the virtual orientation modules).
Please note: Only those whose TA appointment has been confirmed by their graduate program should register at this time. Those who have not received a confirmation should register once the appointment is finalized.
