
Culturally Responsive Course Design and Teaching Strategies

This workshop will be facilitated by University Online Education Services as part of the University Equity and Inclusion Department’s Classroom Inclusivity Series, explores the principles of culturally responsive teaching. Participants will engage in discussions on culturally relevant, responsive, and sustaining pedagogies, as well as practical strategies for integrating these approaches into various subject areas. The session will also cover course design techniques that leverage student cultures as assets to their learning and provide guidance on critical self-reflection for instructors seeking to understand how their positionality shapes their teaching presence.
