Virtual Presentations: 2024 – 2025 TIIP Co-Intelligence Exploration Teaching Fellows
May 2 @ 10:30 am - 1:00 pm
The Co-Intelligence Exploration Teaching Fellowship was a special initiative for the 2024 – 2025 academic year run by the Institute for Teaching, Innovation, and Inclusive Pedagogy inviting instructors across disciplines and schools to develop course activities that demonstrate how co-intelligence can advance student learning. During this virtual session three of the fellows will share their course implementations and invite Q&A from the audience. The remainder fellows will share their projects later. Please join us to learn from colleagues who are navigating the current GenAI landscape and hear their lessons learned!
Presentation Schedule:
10:30 – 11 am – Prof. Jeremy Morgan, Marketing
For Professor Morgan’s course, students learned to utilize generative AI tools such as ChatGPT to enhance their marketing skills.
11 – 11:30 am – Prof. Xenia Morin, Agriculture & Food Systems
Through class activities, Professor Morin explored the impact AI tools can have on student writing outcomes using ChatGPT, or another free AI tool, compared to a paid platform.
11:30 am – 12:30 pm – Break
12:30 – 1 pm – Prof. Sid Roy, Environmental Sciences
In this project, Professor Roy’s students generated a field sampling plan and analyzed data collected from the field to assist overburdened or environmental justice communities facing water contamination or other pollution issues.
