Funding Opportunity: Open & Affordable Textbooks (OAT) Program

Rutgers University Libraries is now accepting applications for the Open and Affordable Textbooks (OAT) Program, which supports instructors in reducing the cost of course materials for students. Since its launch, the program has helped save Rutgers students more than $13 million.

Two types of awards are available:

    • The OAT Course Redesign Award ($2,500) incentivizes the use of open educational resources (OER), library collections, or other free or low-cost course materials. Deadline to apply: April 11
    • The Libraries will also host a workshop, Open Educational Resources: Essential Tools of Inclusivity and Equity, on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 1:00–2:30 PMRegister here.
