About

The Provost’s Teaching Fellowship program, an initiative launched by the Rutgers—New Brunswick Office of the Provost, and spearheaded by TIIP, is designed to promote student success across the university by supporting instructors as they innovate their teaching practices and redesign their courses. Through their dedication to continuous learning and professional development, Provost’s Teaching Fellows foster a culture of pedagogical excellence that directly enhances the learning experience for thousands of students across our campus.

As part of the fellowship, instructors participate in TIIP’s 3-Day Course Design Institute in May, followed by virtual summer check-ins and monthly cohort gatherings throughout the 2026–2027 academic year. Fellows collaborate closely with TIIP staff and student pedagogical partners through a classroom observation and feedback process, culminating in a Spring 2027 presentation of their course innovations and a final portfolio.
