Founded in May 2024 as part of the Academic Master Plan, the Institute for Teaching, Innovation, and Inclusive Pedagogy (TIIP) is a hub for instructors that advances instruction fostering student learning and academic thriving at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. During this interactive Research Spotlight session, the founding director will share evidence-based approaches that support student success through effective teaching based on the institute’s recent studies and previous efforts. Participants will apply the findings to their own student-focused efforts to support the design of learning environments that foster a sense of belonging, provide opportunities for high-impact learning, and supporttimely graduation. This session will center us on what it means to teach and promote student success at the beginning of the academic year.
