The TIIP team is excited to welcome all incoming graduate teaching assistants to the 2026–2027 academic year! To help them hit the ground running with confidence, we’re hosting a two-part orientation this month that combines flexible online modules with an interactive in-person gathering. This orientation is designed to provide new TAs with strategies, support, and guidance to make their teaching experience as effective and rewarding as possible.
PART 1: Virtual Orientation – NOW OPEN!
- Access via Canvas (all new TAs will be invited).
- Will address essential teaching topics, preparing for the first day of class, handling common classroom challenges, and more.
- Materials can be accessed at your own pace throughout the month.
PART 2: Onsite Orientation
- Monday, August 24th, 8:30 am – 12:15 pm
- Scott Hall, Rm 123 (College Ave campus)
- Join us for a meet-and-greet, interactive panel sessions, and collaborative breakout discussions. Light morning refreshments will be provided.
