Calling all Rutgers University–New Brunswick instructors: Open your classroom to colleagues this fall!
Open Doors—a brand new initiative celebrating dynamic teaching and peer learning—is officially kicking off. Open Doors is a non-evaluative program that gives instructors the opportunity to visit colleagues’ classrooms, see diverse teaching strategies in action, and share practices—purely for professional growth and community building.
Open Doors Week:
- 🗓️Monday, October 12 – Friday, October 16, 2026
- 📍 Across all five Rutgers–New Brunswick campuses
How It Works:
- Complete our registration form to indicate the specific date(s) and class session(s) you’d like to open.
- TIIP will facilitate the entire sign-up process for visitors and keep you updated every step of the way.
- Notify your students of the visitors and teach as usual! We just ask that you avoid assessment days.

Apply to open your classroom by Friday, August 28, 2026.
Interested in visiting a classroom? Keep an eye out for updates; visitor sign-up will open in early September.
